Weekend Review Dec 9 In Byron Bay Today

A Patch Of Blue, In Byron Bay Today's Weekend Review. Well maybe it's not quite as dramatic or inspiring as the classic 1965 film of the same name starring Sydney Portier. However, after five straight days of cold wind and pissing down rain, folks were pretty excited to see a patch of blue sky peeking through in Byron Bay today. The swell has been steadily building all week and reached a crescendo by swinging to the east as we cruised into the weekend. Problem is not many places are really holding it that well. Not sure how this will all pan out, this swell is putting considerable pressure on the fresh laid down and therefore fragile sand. The question is, will it shear the edge off the banks and make it perfect, or will it simply tear big holes in it. Taking us back to where we started a month ago. Hmm only time will tell. Meanwhile the sun is out, the lines are pushing past the cape and all is well, In Byron Bay Today.
