Well I hate to say ‘I told you so’ but it was pretty windy indeed In Byron Bay Today. Actually that’s not true. I don’t really hate it, and I don’t know anyone who does hate to say ‘I told you so’. I suspect we all take a little secret pleasure in being right occasionally. And we all do our best to pretend we don’t care when we’re wrong. So whoopee doo I finally called a wind forecast correctly, aren’t I clever. But seriously folks all silliness aside, it was blowing pretty strong from the north in the bay, and there was very little escaping it. We basically had two choices, try and stay indoors and hide, or get out in the blow and revel in the show. Naturally we got out and let Huey blow us all over the place, it’s actually kind of nice if you just let go and don’t fight it. The surf today, well it was not quite what we expected. We were hoping for a little bit of northwest in the wind, opening up some of the beach breaks. But that’s just not the way it went. It was straight north all the way creating lumpy bumpy twisted and windy conditions everywhere in Byron bay. If you didn’t hold on to your loved ones, they’d simply sail away. But still there’s a beauty in it and a few waves too, In Byron Bay Today.
